Strait Up

This print ad was created for a local High School’s football program, sponsored by a prominent local music retailer. Just another attempt to – “blow my own horn”.  Hope you enjoy.

Thrash for Cash

If you like your bands like a good knife fight, the High Strikes hit hard and cut deep. Carb-up for their shows. They feed on energy.

A New Rugged Cross

Every now and then, even the world’s stalwarts of tradition like houses of worship can use a bit of spiffy-fying on the brand side. So they came to me for some spiff ‘n polish. After a bit of research on the history and intricacies of Celtic Crosses, I was able to conjure up the imagery you see before you. The color-y insert you see there in the Header Text is acutally a rendering of the large window at the back of the sanctuary. I take credit only for the rendering. The original window design was created by Joan Salvant, one of...

Big City Lights

It appears we’ve chosen to come into town for a change. Hey, nuthin’ like indoor plumin’ to draw a bunch of cedar-choppers like us outa the hills. Whathehey, who am I kiddin’? We’re all a bunch of freakin’ townies. Pampered burb-critters, every one of us. AMT is a heck of a fine bar, and we always enjoy our gigs there.

Enis Saves The World!

Click the icon below to play media. This is a Galaxian-style flash video game that was originally going to sport a “retro-space” theme titled “Dung Dodger In The 24th And A Half Century”. But in an effort to avoid any possible conundrums with the ample legal staff at Warner Brothers, I took a left turn at Albuquerque and opted  for the “Redneck With A Shotgun Saves The World” format.  It just gave the whole thing a more personable setting that I felt was somehow comforting. I tried to keep it pretty...

The Straight Dope

Click the icon below to play media. Do you find yourself in search of the deepest secrets of Life, the Universe, and Everything? Don’t settle for some low-dig numeric pacification. Consult a genuine oracle and get the straight dope. Then divide and conquer your adversaries as they are driven before you. Okay – perhaps a bit grandiose for our current needs. But hopefully you will discover within, a panacea for a wide variety of technical issues pertaining to non-technical staff. As long as your needs fall within the generous scope...

Oh, Jamnation!

Oh, Jamnation!

Come one, come all! Step right up and embrace your fifteen minutes of limited fame. Bask in the glory of  quasi-enthusiastic applause, delivered by a group of the friendliest folks this side of inebriation.  Okay – perhaps a few are on the other side. All of which will almost certainly work to your favor – as you will find a appreciative audience, ready to receive your sonic assaults with the greatest of tolerance and in some cases even genuine love as they let down the chicken-wire, and open their stage – and their...

It’s Fun For All But the Lamb

Click the icon at the bottom of the page to play media. This little ditty has by some unintentional defacto, become my “Magnum Opus” to date. With a good bit over 80,000 hits on You Tube -and having sparked what could be considered some international incident of minor scope, “The Haggis Song” has almost, I stress – almost… gained Yours Truly some marginal if not infamous notoriety in the UK. I created this little viral piece as it occurred to me that many ethnic culinary treasures are not always considered...

Warped Perspective

Here’s some band art that’s just a bit bent. Not necessarily a new twist. Rather, a sweeping panorama of the human condition with respect to a projected fanbase. Hope you enjoy.

Over the River and thru the Woods

Nobody makes ’em like Meemaw. Good thing too. She’s a lot of the reason my clothes don’t fit right anymore. But oh what a journey it’s been. A warm and cuddly bundle of chewy temptation just waiting to thrust my blood-sugar into the stratosphere. And all that butter makes it an effortless trip to the belly. The next rep that brings one of these things to my desk is gonna get lynched. Hugged… then lynched. Consider yourselves forewarned.

Click the icon at the bottom of the page to play media. One of the terrific resources we have here in Austin is a very active “Meetup” community. Meetup.com  provides hosting of accounts featuring time, location, and content info for groups that regularly meet up at various locations in the area. These groups focus on a variety of subjects of interest to those in attendance. Many of these groups focus on technical subjects such as application development or graphic design. It’s a great way to meet and greet folks in your...

And the Rest of the Scales Were Jealous

Click the icon below to play media. It may not be entirely proper to show one scale sooo much attention.  Kind of like telling the rest of your kids that you have a favorite. While I’m not sure if  “favorite” is an apt description, I would go as far as saying that without any sharps or flats to deal with, good ol’ C Major has a particular amount of low maintenance that I can truly appreciate.  It’s kinda like the kid that can dress themselves while the others are still fillin’ their diapers. Here’s to hangin’ out on the white keys!...

Gimp Lizzurd

Nope, it’s not my heavy-metal garage band from high school. But had it come to mind sooner, history might well have been altered. It is a fortunate certainty however that our still quasi-lame efforts would have left us equally anonymous.  And the world as a whole would have felt little, if any – change. In this instance however, we’re going to hook this moniker up with the vid clip as displayed below, in hopes you’ll get a bit of joy from the torturous exploits of one tiny reptile. His unstoppable daredevilry meeting...

Snappy Intros and Happy Endings

Click the icon below to play media.       The guys at Dadlabs.com needed a title sequence for one of their featured segments, starring comic madman Owen Egerton. I provided this piece featuring both 2D and 3D elements to create an appropriately wacky starting point. Owen ran with the ball – and toys beware!!! I’m sure a few of the stuffy-critters anticipated a more placid fate, perhaps rotting in a storage box in some nice musty attic. Alas – they were re-animated for a brief point of stardom. Probably a short bit before...
