I cabbaged this little ditty together a while back to provide the greeting portion for a mortgage company’s Christmas card. If you by chance read the poem first, this intro line is prob’ly a bit redundant, but I’m guessing there are at least a few folks who’ll take a stab at my prose before reading thru the artsy stuff up above.<\/p>\n
Yes, I know – poor Clarence C. Moore’s poem has been ripped off, decimated, paraphrased, parodied and just plain plagiarized by what seems like every human walking the face of the planet. Think I’m kidding? Google around a bit. This literary gem of yuletide joy – has been passed around more than the freakin’ prom queen! Having said all that\u00a0 –\u00a0 I must confess I had little remorse over taking my stab at it. I hope you enjoy my attempt at bringing together the time-honored axioms of the Holiday Spirit, and the American Dream.\u00a0 In keeping with current social and economic trends however, I will be releasing it’s companion piece next year entitled, “Twas the Day After Foreclosure”. .. There truly is – no end to the fun.<\/p>\n
